What to expect
Your Christmas session

Choose your project
Pick one of 12 festive makes when you book. Each session is dedicated to that project so you get the full 2.5 hours to really make it your own.

Make it in the studio
Our tutors guide you through every step. No experience needed — just turn up, get your hands in the clay and enjoy the process.

Collect your piece
Your work is kiln-fired and glazed in the studio, then ready to collect within 2–3 weeks. Pieces from sessions up to 6 December will be glazed and ready before Christmas. Sessions after that date — we'll do our best, but can't guarantee it.

Practical information
How long is each session?
2.5 hours — plenty of time to hand-build and finish your piece with tutor guidance throughout.
Do I need experience?
Not at all. Our tutors guide you through every step. These sessions are designed for complete beginners as well as experienced makers.
When will I get my piece?
Your piece is kiln-fired and ready to collect within 2–3 weeks of your session. Sessions up to 6 December will be glazed and ready before Christmas. Sessions from 7–13 December may not be glazed in time — we'll do our best but can't guarantee it. Sessions after 13 December won't be ready to collect before Christmas.
What's included?
All clay, tools and materials are included in the price. Just bring yourself and your Christmas spirit.
Family sessions — who can come?
Family sessions on Saturdays and Sundays welcome all ages. Children are £25 and adults are £40. Up to 12 people per session.
Can I book a private group?
Yes — we can arrange private Christmas workshop sessions for groups. Get in touch to discuss dates and numbers.
Glazing & collection
Return to Glaze
After your session your piece is bisque-fired — ready in around 7–10 days. You then return to the studio to glaze it, and the glaze firing takes a further 7 days, subject to conditions. Here's what that means for getting your piece before Christmas.
Sessions up to 6 Dec
Ready before Christmas
Your bisque will be ready within 7–10 days, leaving plenty of time to glaze and collect your finished piece before Christmas.
Sessions 7–13 Dec
We'll do our best
With bisque taking 7–10 days and glaze firing a further 7 days, timing is tight. We'll do everything we can, but can't guarantee your piece will be ready before Christmas.
Sessions after 13 Dec
Not ready before Christmas
There simply isn't enough time for both firings before Christmas — but your piece will be a lovely treat to look forward to in the new year.
Collect and paint at home
You're welcome to collect your bisque-fired piece and decorate it at home — a great option if you'd like it ready in time for Christmas without waiting for a glaze firing.
Glaze at a later date
No rush at all — if life is busy over the festive period, you're very welcome to come back and glaze your piece in the new year at your own pace.
